Where can Gift Cards be used?
The advantage of Gift Cards is that, unlike merchant specific cards, they can be used to make purchases anywhere VISA debit cards are accepted. The cards can NOT be used at pay at the pump, car rentals, or hotels (including hotel stores, restaurants, gift shops, etc.)
Are Gift Cards the same as credit cards?
No. Gift Cards are prepaid VISA cards that carry a fixed cash amount determined by the Gift Card purchaser. Each time the card is used, the purchase amount is deducted from the available balance.
Can Gift Cards be reloaded?
Individual cards cannot be reloaded but you always have the option to purchase additional Gift Cards-for yourself or for someone special in your life.
Can a merchant give cash back on a Gift Card?
Merchant can deduct purchases from the Gift Card accounts, but they cannot offer cash back as part of the Gift Card service.
Do Gift Cards have expiration dates?
Yes, Gift Cards expire when the remaining balance reaches $0 or on the card expiration date on the front of the card.
Does the Gift Card recipient incur any fees with the Gift Card?
If the card is not used for a period of 12 months, there will be a $5 fee deducted monthly.
